At Lochshore House, we believe that food is a really important part of your stay with us. We source as much local produce as possible. We have our own hens and ducks, and bake all our own bread, cakes and biscuits. We have a “Taste Our Best” award from Visit Scotland and we are committed to serving quality Scottish produce, prepared with care and served with passion.
Breakfast is served at individual tables in our dining room between 8am and 9am each day. We are flexible though and if you have an early start, just let us know the night before. (Click to see our breakfast menu)
To start choose from fruit juice, a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, or porridge, followed by a variety of cooked breakfast items, including bacon, butchers sausages, Stornoway black pudding, haggis and eggs cooked just how you like them. Locally smoked fish is also served, along with a variety of omelettes, and for those who prefer something sweet for breakfast there is always a sweet option such as pancakes with cherries. Our menu can change slightly according to the season and availability.
We are happy to help you with dinner arrangements and can recommend several places locally. We have two excellent places to eat just a five minute drive from the house, Edibane Lodge and the Edinbane Inn
Portree is only a 15 minute drive away and has several good places to eat, Waternish is even closer to the house where you can find the oldest inn on Skye and the Loch Bay Restaurant
A little further afield but still within an easy reach of the house is the famous Three Chimneys Restaurant.
We have a good local taxi service and we are happy to arrange a taxi on your behalf.
